Having taken a career break of my own to raise two boys, I understand the impact that children can have, both physically and emotionally and how it can affect your confidence and work identity.
I am also aware of the practical and logistical barriers that parents face which can leave them spinning with confusion and anxiety.
On a personal note, having lived in different cities and countries, I feel blessed to have landed in the beautiful Surrey Hills where I am surrounded by a strong and supportive community.
I believe that everyone has the resources within them to change and improve their circumstances. I enable you to access these resources by providing warmth, sensitivity and encouragement. My approach is very much to understand you as an individual – your values, goals, interests and skills. I will bring my knowledge and extensive experience to help you rediscover your confidence, fulfil your potential and enable you to make decisions that have a positive influence on your career direction.
By working with a career coach you can gain perspective and clarity on the changes that have taken place in your life. You can then generate ideas before putting plans, bespoke to your needs, into action. Typically we will meet for four to six sessions and in preparation, I would ask that you take a quiet moment to think about what you want to gain from coaching. When you do this be conscious of how you feel and what thoughts are arising and we can take it from there.
I am a Licensed Career Coach Practitioner trained by the Career Counselling Services, London. I have also worked for many years as a Careers Advisor, qualifying in 2005. I hold a Foundation Certificate in counselling skills and a degree in Business Administration.
