About Me

Pregnancy and birth are pivotal moments, and as a midwife, birth worker, educator and advocate I feel privileged to support women and their partners through this transformative time.

I have been so fortunate to join many people on their pregnancy and birth journeys and support them in their new role as parents. Providing continuity has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my role, developing trusting professional relationships with women to offer care which is individual and unique to each person.

I am passionate about antenatal education and believe strongly that it is one of the most important parts of my role as a midwife. Whether you need someone to provide you with evidence based information or navigate your choices within pregnancy planning, pregnancy, labour and birth and postnatally, I am available throughout your journey to provide support and continuity.

Experience

I work as a midwife in the NHS providing comprehensive care to women and their families throughout their pregnancies, labour, birth and in the postnatal period.

My experience as a midwife ranges from clinical practice across the UK to abroad, in a varied range of care settings and in research. I also have training in complimentary therapies which help me provide a holistic approach for women.

I have recently completed a Research Masters in Midwifery and have a keen interest in evidence based practice which I use to ensure the information I provide is up to date.

My teaching experience includes the development of care packages and birth care planning with multidisciplinary teams, as an associate lecturer in midwifery and leading on Active Birth and Antenatal Classes.
